Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Faast application ("the App"), you agree to be unconditionally bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Developer of Faast.
2. Nature of the App
Faast is a personal intermittent fasting timer app provided for personal tracking purposes only. The App is not a certified medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not regulated by any health authority (including the FDA, EMA, or equivalent).
3. Medical Disclaimer
THE APP DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
You must consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any intermittent fasting program, especially if you:
- have a chronic illness or pre-existing medical condition;
- take prescription medication;
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- have a history of eating disorders;
- are a minor.
The Developer expressly disclaims all liability arising from failure to follow this recommendation.
4. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- You assume full and exclusive responsibility for any physical, psychological, or health-related consequence resulting from your use of the App.
- The Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including without limitation: bodily injury, aggravation of a pre-existing condition, death, data loss, or financial loss.
- The Developer's total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (zero if the App is free).
5. User Responsibilities
By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age, or have the informed consent of a parent or legal guardian;
- You have consulted, or commit to consult, a healthcare professional before using the App for any health-related purpose;
- You will use the App solely for personal, lawful, and non-commercial purposes;
- You will not consider the App a substitute for professional medical care.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer against any claim, liability, damage, loss, cost, and expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your use or misuse of the App; your breach of these Terms; or any misrepresentation you have made regarding your health status or eligibility to use the App.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, and functionality of the App are the exclusive property of the Developer, protected under French, EU, and US copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. Any reproduction, modification, distribution, sale, or commercial exploitation without prior written permission is strictly prohibited and subject to legal action.
8. Modifications
The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon publication within the App. Continued use of the App after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
9. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a competent court, it shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law. The competent courts for any dispute shall be those of Paris, France, without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer protection provisions.
For users residing in the United States: any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to individual, binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
